Croda is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end site supply chain activities in Alabaster, Alabama ensuring the safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective delivery of products to customers. As a member of the Site Leadership Team, you will bring together Customer Service, Local Procurement, Production Planning and Scheduling, Warehousing, and Distribution. You will also champion Sales and Operations Planning and Execution, strengthening alignment across demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and customer commitments in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Expertise And Experience B.S. or M.S. degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field. 10+ years of team leadership experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing within a cGMP environment, unless prior experience demonstrates equivalent aptitude. General knowledge of the pharmaceutical product/excipient manufacturing process. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement business strategies, i.e., organizational structure, change management, budget development, project management, and strategic staffing plan. Recognize unanticipated or adverse outcomes or deviations; able to use technical expertise, experience, data analysis, and creativity to evaluate and identify root causes to propose corrective actions or resolutions of increasing complexity; able to independently and rapidly take corrective actions to resolve technical problems of suitable complexity. Knowledge and experience with regulations related to safety and environmental compliance. Knowledge of the use of PPE, safety protocols and practices related to working with air exposure to hazardous chemicals that could potentially affect the health of the employee. Excellent leadership and team development skills. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written). Actively contribute to the improvement of policy, practices, and procedures. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers and employees at all levels including senior management. Develop and manage resources and priorities to deliver 5-year plans. Promote interdepartmental collaborations between MS/TS, Production, Quality, Sales, and Business. Build, lead, coach, mentor and develop direct reports while building succession plans and organizational capability. Establish business process standards, governance processes, and capability development programs. Drive a culture of excellence, accountability, quality, and safety. Participate as a member of the Site Leadership Team. Customer Service Ensure exceptional customer service experience through effective order management, communication, issue resolution, and delivery performance. Serve as the primary escalation point for customer supply & fulfilment issues. Monitor and improve performance indicators including DOT-P, DOT-R, OTIF and customer satisfaction scores. Partner closely with Business, Sales, and Production to proactively manage customer expectations and commitments. Materials Management Lead procurement activities to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, consumables, packaging, and indirect materials. Develop sourcing and inventory strategies that balance service, risk, working capital, and cost objectives. Manage supplier and vendor performance, supply continuity, and risk mitigation efforts.
