For more information, please visit www.filtrona.com Role and Responsibilities The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the entire site supply chain from purchase of raw materials to receipt of raw materials, inventory control, lot tracing, shipping, as well as managing the warehouse. Supply Chain Design and Optimization Analyze and improve supply chain processes to reduce costs and increase efficiency. Implement technology and automation to streamline operations. Procurement and Supplier Management Oversee supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management. Ensure the timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices. Inventory and Warehouse Management Monitor inventory levels to maintain a balance between supply and demand. Implement strategies to reduce excess inventory and minimize stockouts. Production Planning Work with production teams to ensure manufacturing schedules align with demand forecasts. Optimize production processes for cost efficiency and minimal waste. Logistics and Distribution Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution to ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Optimize shipping routes and methods to reduce costs and environmental impact. Risk Management Identify potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., supplier dependency, geopolitical issues) and develop contingency plans. Ensure business continuity during disruptions. Cost Control and Budget Management Monitor supply chain expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction. Ensure operations stay within budget while meeting quality and service standards. Technology Implementation Oversee the adoption of supply chain management software, AI, IoT, and analytics tools. Use data to track KPIs, such as lead times, order accuracy, and cost savings. Customer Satisfaction Ensure that products and services are delivered on time and meet customer expectations. Collaborate with customer service teams to address supply chain-related issues. Sustainability Initiatives Incorporate sustainable practices into supply chain operations, such as reducing carbon emissions and using ethical sourcing. Team Leadership and Development Lead, train, and develop supply chain staff to improve overall team performance. Foster a collaborative work environment across departments. Qualifications and Education Requirements Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree or related experience Ability to provide conflict resolution Must be able to handle conflict, negotiate, and discipline as necessary. Communicate and cooperate with all employees in a positive manner to ensure maximum quality and productivity is maintained. Problem-solving ability 3-5 years’ experience in a related field Understanding of SAP systems Experience arranging transportation activities Experience with operational planning Material acquisition and purchasing experience Understanding of hazardous waste disposal rules and regulations Strong attention to detail
