The position aligns customer demand, production priorities, material availability and supplier commitments to support reliable delivery performance, cost competitiveness, inventory discipline and continuity of supply. The role collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance and the global HÜBNER organization. Warehouse operations, logistics execution and shipping are outside the position’s direct scope and remain the responsibility of the respective functions. SUCCESS PROFILE A strategic and hands-on supply chain leader who converts customer requirements into executable demand, supply and production plans; aligns Purchasing, Planning and Customer Service; develops the teams; and creates transparent, measurable performance from supplier commitment through customer delivery readiness. Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Strategy & Leadership · Develop and implement an integrated supply chain strategy covering Purchasing, Planning and Customer Service. · Translate business objectives and customer demand into sourcing, material and production planning priorities. · Balance customer service, production stability, inventory, cost and supply risk in cross-functional decisions. · Provide management with transparent recommendations on capacity, supply constraints, customer commitments and recovery priorities. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management · Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers and establish expectations for quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness and continuous improvement. · Lead supplier performance reviews, escalation meetings and improvement plans with Supplier Quality, Engineering and Operations. · Apply the Supplier Relationship Guideline and support consistent supplier onboarding, classification, evaluation and development. · Monitor supplier capability, capacity and commercial stability. Demand, Material & Production Planning · Lead demand, material and production planning processes based on customer requirements, forecasts, order backlog, capacity and material availability. · Establish feasible production priorities and maintain planning parameters, lead times and planning master data in the ERP/MRP system. · Identify demand, capacity and material constraints early and coordinate recovery plans with Purchasing, Production, Sales and Customer Service. · Monitor schedule adherence, material availability, backlog, inventory exposure and customer delivery readiness. Customer Service & Customer Interface · Lead the Customer Service team as the operational interface between customers and the internal supply chain. · Ensure accurate order entry, acknowledgement, requested-date validation and timely communication of confirmed delivery commitments. · Coordinate responses to customer schedule changes, shortages, delays and priority requests with Sales, Planning, Purchasing, Production and Quality. · Drive proactive, consistent and fact-based customer communication while ensuring commitments reflect approved and feasible supply plans. Purchasing & Supplier Management · Oversee strategic and operational purchasing for direct materials, indirect materials and capital expenditures. · Lead Sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, performance management and commercial escalation. · Align supplier capacity, confirmations, lead times and recovery actions with material and production plans. · Ensure purchase orders, pricing, confirmations, planning parameters and supplier master dat…
