Position Overview We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Supply Chain / Process Engineer to help improve and optimize operations at a high-volume facility in Union City, GA. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys identifying inefficiencies, analyzing operational data, and developing practical solutions that improve productivity, capacity, labor utilization, material flow, and overall operational performance. The Process Engineer will partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Facilities, IT, Account Management, and Project Management teams to develop and implement process improvements throughout the facility. Key Responsibilities Apply Lean and Industrial Engineering methodologies including: Line balancing PFEP (Plan for Every Part) Value Stream Mapping Process FMEAs Control Plans Work studies Resource requirement analysis Lead and support plant-level continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze existing workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost. Develop and establish labor standards and standard work. Conduct time studies and challenge existing standard times to identify opportunities for waste reduction and productivity improvement. Design and optimize facility layouts to improve material flow, space utilization, operational efficiency, and future scalability. Develop and maintain direct and indirect labor/headcount analysis tools. Analyze the operational impact of changes in volume, processes, staffing, equipment, or customer requirements. Prepare engineering studies and reports to support operational and strategic business decisions. Serve as a key resource for capacity planning, process improvement, labor standards, and productivity analysis. Partner with Operations, IT, Facilities, Account Management, and Project Management teams to implement process improvements. Support engineering activities associated with facility improvements, equipment installations, and operational projects. Evaluate and make recommendations regarding capital equipment purchases or leases. Support decisions involving material handling equipment, tooling, lift assists, forklifts, and other operational equipment. Develop solutions that reduce waste, improve throughput, and increase overall operational efficiency. Utilize data and engineering analysis to identify opportunities for measurable cost savings. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environments. Strong background in process improvement, process design, workflow optimization, and continuous improvement. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Lean Supply Chain methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience conducting time studies, labor analysis, capacity planning, and productivity analysis. Experience designing or improving facility and warehouse layouts. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, data analysis, and PivotTables. Experience with Microsoft Visio, Access, project management tools, or similar applications. Familiarity with supply chain systems such as WMS, TMS, OMS, ERP, or related platforms. Ability to translate operational data into practical, measurable improvements. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, IT, facilities, and management teams.
