As we accelerate product development and deployment, we are building the operational infrastructure and supplier ecosystem required to support growth across the U.S. and, ultimately, global markets. Role Summary Janta Power is seeking a Director of Supply Chain to build, establish, and lead the company’s end-to-end supply chain function. This is a hands-on role for someone who can create the supply chain infrastructure required to take a fundamentally new energy technology from design through commercialization and scaled deployment. The Director will define Janta’s overall supply chain strategy and build the supplier ecosystem, sourcing processes, planning capabilities, logistics infrastructure, quality framework, and cost-management disciplines needed to support rapid growth. This is not a role focused on maintaining an established supply chain. It is an opportunity to build the supply chain function from the ground up and establish the systems, partnerships, processes, and capabilities that will enable Janta Power to scale. Key Responsibilities Build & Lead the Supply Chain Function Develop and own Janta Power’s end-to-end supply chain strategy to support commercialization and rapid growth. Build the supply chain infrastructure, processes, systems, metrics, and supplier ecosystem required to scale the business. Establish policies and operating processes across sourcing, procurement, supplier management, planning, inventory, logistics, and quality. Develop a supply chain roadmap aligned with Janta’s product, deployment, revenue, and geographic growth plans. Identify supply chain risks and establish mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing, supplier diversification, capacity planning, and contingency plans. Determine the appropriate balance of internal capabilities, contract manufacturing, strategic suppliers, and outsourced partners as the company scales. Build and develop the supply chain organization as business needs expand. Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Development Develop sourcing strategies across key categories including custom steel fabrications, electro-mechanical drives, control systems, solar modules, inverters, foundation components, wiring, cables, and fasteners. Identify, qualify, select, and develop suppliers capable of supporting Janta’s technical, quality, cost, capacity, and delivery requirements. Lead supplier negotiations covering pricing, commercial terms, capacity, lead times, quality requirements, warranties, and long-term agreements. Build strategic supplier relationships while creating appropriate accountability and performance expectations. Develop global sourcing strategies incorporating tariffs, trade requirements, transportation costs, geopolitical risk, and tariff engineering. Establish supplier scorecards and performance-management processes across cost, quality, delivery, responsiveness, and capacity. Manufacturing & Commercialization Strategy Partner closely with Engineering and Product to translate product designs into scalable and commercially viable supply chain and manufacturing strategies. Influence Design for Manufacturability, Design for Assembly, sourcing, logistics, and serviceability decisions early in the product-development process. Assess make-versus-buy decisions and recommend manufacturing and supplier strategies as Janta moves from early production to higher-volume deployment.
