Bassett Mirror is seeking an experienced Director of Supply Chain to lead purchasing, inventory planning, international logistics, domestic warehouse operations, and third-party logistics. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring inventory moves efficiently from our overseas suppliers through our domestic distribution network and ultimately to our customers. The Director will lead the teams responsible for purchasing and import coordination while also providing direct leadership for our warehouse and distribution operations. The ideal candidate combines strong supply-chain and inventory management experience with proven warehouse leadership and understands the operational and financial impact of inventory, freight, service, and working capital. Key Responsibilities Lead purchasing, inventory planning, international logistics, warehouse operations, and 3PL relationships. Develop purchasing and shipment plans aligned with sales demand, inventory targets, lead times, and working-capital objectives. Lead and develop the employees responsible for purchase order administration, factory communication, and import coordination. Monitor supplier performance, production schedules, ship dates, and open purchase commitments; escalate and resolve issues as needed. Manage international freight, customs, inbound transportation, container utilization, and landed costs. Provide direct leadership for domestic warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and inventory control. Drive improvements in warehouse productivity, labor management, inventory accuracy, shipping accuracy, damage reduction, and space utilization. Develop warehouse managers and supervisors and establish clear performance standards and accountability. Manage domestic transportation and third-party logistics providers for service, capacity, inventory accuracy, and cost. Lead the planning, startup, and stabilization of an additional distribution location. Maintain clear visibility to open purchase orders, inventory in transit, expected receipts, warehouse capacity, and supply-chain performance. Partner closely with Merchandising/SKU Management, Product Development, Finance, Sales, Customer Service, and Quality Control. Qualifications 8+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, or distribution. Demonstrated leadership experience in both supply-chain and warehouse/distribution operations. Experience working with overseas suppliers and imported consumer products. Strong understanding of inventory planning, purchasing, international freight, landed cost, and working capital. Experience managing warehouse labor, productivity, inventory accuracy, and facility capacity. Experience with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and 3PL providers. Experience opening, expanding, or relocating a distribution facility strongly preferred. Strong ERP, analytical, and Excel skills; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is a plus. Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. What We're Looking For We are looking for a leader who can operate strategically while staying close to the business. The right candidate will be comfortable using data to make decisions, developing teams, holding suppliers and partners accountable, identifying issues early, and continuously improving how inventory moves through the organization.
