About the Role Jindal Pipe USA, Inc. is looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to manage day-to-day procurement and logistics activities for pipe manufacturing operations, including procurement of raw materials / Hot-rolled coil (HRC), arranging for logistics / appropriate mode of transportation, RFQ / coordination with vendors, issuance of purchase orders, timely tracking of shipments during transit, and other related activities. Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for someone who is proactive, analytically strong, and comfortable working in an industrial environment. The ideal candidate should possess a knack for data analytics, risk management, digital technology proficiency, problem-solving, clear cross-functional communication, logistics planning, and vendor management. Key Responsibilities Create and manage multiple purchase orders in ERP (SAP) while ensuring accuracy of quantities, pricing, delivery terms, supplier information, and delivery dates. Develop and issue HRC / raw material RFQs to approved and potential suppliers based on production requirements, specifications, quantities, delivery schedules, and commercial terms & conditions. Prepare and issue logistics RFQs for movement of finished pipes and other materials through truck, rail, and barge, as per applicability. Obtain, review, and prepare comparison of quotations based on pricing, lead time, service capability, delivery terms, and operational requirements for their review and further approval. Coordinate with raw material suppliers for readiness dates, shipping instructions, and expected delivery timelines to conform with production schedules. Track shipments, maintain accurate shipment status reports, and circulate them to the internal stakeholders. Coordinate with plant operations, production planning, suppliers, logistics providers, and vendors to ensure alignment of material availability with the manufacturing schedule. Maintain regular communication with internal stakeholders regarding material status, expected deliveries, and potential shortages or transportation delays, if any. Follow up with vendors on delayed shipments, documentation issues, shortages, and other supply chain concerns, if any. Coordinate with quality and operations teams to address the issues of material discrepancies, damaged shipments, quantity differences, or supplier-related issues, if any. Follow up on open POs, delayed deliveries, shortages, and documentation issues. Maintain accurate SAP records, vendor documentation, quotations, bills of lading, and delivery information. Coordinate for truck, rail, and barge service requirements as needed. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to improve processing efficiency and reduce bottlenecks / human errors. Prepare periodic reports on open POs, material deliveries, logistics movements, and vendor status for further review. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Management / Logistics / Supply Chain Management, or a related field. 2–3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably pipe manufacturing. Experience with logistics planning, vendor relationship management, and forecasting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills along with attention to details.
