Position Summary

The Supply Chain Commodity Management team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support key process improvement and supplier‑facing initiatives. This internship offers hands-on, practical experience in supply chain operations, project management, and supplier development ideal for a student seeking to build a strong foundation early in their career.

Interns will work closely with Commodity Managers and collaborate with cross-functional partners in Quality and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive questionnaire to gather capability and value‑add information from critical suppliers.
  • Conduct outreach to suppliers to collect, verify, and summarize capability insights.
  • Identify potential new business opportunities based on supplier competency data.
  • Analyze the current price change workflow process to identify gaps leading to premature lead-time updates before PPAP approval.
  • Recommend and support implementation of a revised process that strengthens checks and balances across workflow stages.
  • Document and present findings to Commodity Management leadership.
  • Gather price change workflow data across suppliers to understand trends in price increases.
  • Develop a Power BI dashboard to monitor, track, and visualize supplier-driven price adjustments.
  • Partner with Procurement, Engineering, and Quality to validate data inputs and dashboard accuracy.

  • Supplier Relationship Exposure: Direct interaction with suppliers and understanding of supply base development.
  • Data Analysis Competencies: Hands-on experience with data validation, report creation, and visualization tools.
  • Commodity & Supply Chain Knowledge: Insights into diverse commodities and the processes that support manufacturing HGAP compressors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working with Quality, Engineering, and Procurement teams.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree candidates - Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum requirement -2 years of undergraduate coursework completed

Student Development & Mentorship

Interns will receive:

  • On-the-job training in supply chain systems and processes

  • Opportunities to partner with Engineering and Quality teams
  • Practical experience aligned with real industry challenges

Internship Program Criteria

  • Must be a full-time enrolled student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited U.S. college/university
  • Minimum 2.5 or above GPA preferred
  • Must be able to complete internship from May–August 2026.
  • Must be able to complete 40 hours per week
  • Willingness to learn from others on the job
