Supply Chain Buyer/Planner

Buyer – Supply Chain / Procurement Location: Prefer Local Candidates Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Buyer to manage the procurement process from initial RFQ through order fulfillment and payment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing complex electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical components and materials and be comfortable managing a sizable supplier base in a fast-paced environment. This is not an entry-level position . The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier negotiations, commercial analysis, purchase orders, delivery coordination, and maintaining accurate procurement records while ensuring speed, accuracy, quality, and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) across a broad range of commodities. Review supplier proposals, compare pricing, and negotiate commercial terms. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery, and overall value. Process modifications to purchase agreements, terms, and conditions . Conduct commercial and supplier analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement processes. Monitor placed orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery. Verify received materials and coordinate with internal teams regarding order discrepancies or issues. Review and approve invoices/payments in accordance with established purchasing procedures. Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and order documentation. Analyze purchasing trends and supplier performance to support continuous improvement. Build and maintain professional relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Required Qualifications 3+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Procurement, or a related field. Demonstrated experience as a Buyer handling complex electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical purchasing. Bachelor's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, Business, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered. Strong understanding of RFQs, supplier negotiations, purchase agreements, and commercial analysis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical abilities with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple suppliers, purchase orders, and priorities simultaneously. Strong follow-through and ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers.
