Supply Chain and Wholesale Coordinator

About Us Jonathan Stevens Mattress Co. is a West Michigan tradition dating back to 1945. We are unique because we are factory-direct: we manufacture our own premium mattresses right here in Grand Rapids, MI, and sell them directly to our community through 8 retail showrooms, alongside a robust and growing wholesale division. As our new ownership transitions in, we are actively modernizing our operations, upgrading our technology, and expanding our B2B reach to support our legacy of quality for the next 80 years. The Role We are seeking a tech-savvy, analytical, and relationship-driven Supply Chain & Operations Manager. You will be the operational engine of our factory and the driving force behind modernizing our wholesale channels. This role requires a unique balance of skills: you will source raw materials, schedule daily production, and actively manage and service our B2B wholesale customer accounts. Additionally, you will play a critical leadership role in designing and maintaining the purchasing and wholesale side of our ERP system (Odoo). Key Responsibilities Wholesale Operations & Customer Relations: Take ownership of the daily wholesale process. Field incoming orders directly from our B2B clients (hotels, casinos, institutional buyers) and work closely with our VP of Wholesale to service and expand these accounts. You will spearhead the modernization of our wholesale ordering system, transitioning us from manual entry to an efficient online B2B ordering portal. Purchasing & Vendor Relations: Own the procurement of all raw materials (foam, springs, fabric, etc.). Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, proactively auditing component costs to ensure we are securing the best market rates and negotiating effectively. Quality Control: Verify the quality of incoming components upon arrival. Hold our vendors accountable to ensure they consistently meet the high manufacturing standards required for our premium mattresses. ERP & Data Management: Build and maintain comprehensive libraries of components and costs within our current ERP (Odoo). Act as the central architect for the purchasing and wholesale sections within our ERP, ensuring all BOMs (Bills of Materials) and inventory data are accurately tracked and managed. Production Scheduling & Record Keeping: Create highly efficient daily production schedules for the factory floor to balance retail demand with wholesale fulfillment. Manage meticulous record-keeping related to daily production metrics, inventory levels, and operational efficiency. Logistics & Routing: Collaborate with the Office Coordinator to map out and schedule efficient delivery routes for large wholesale orders. Source competitive freight quotes and build robust relationships with external shipping agents and brokers.
