Title: Supply Chain and Demand Planning Manager Department : Operations, Reports to: Head of Operations FLSA Classification: Exempt, Salary: $60,000- $70,000 + bonus Job Summary: The Supply Chain and Demand Planning Manager oversees inventory management, overseas procurement, and domestic embellishment production. This role ensures the right products are purchased, inventory is available when needed, and customized products are produced and delivered on time. Chicka-d serves collegiate retailers with strict, time-sensitive delivery requirements. Success in this role requires strong planning, vendor management, attention to detail, and proactive follow-through to ensure products move efficiently from overseas manufacturers to our warehouse in Pompano Beach, Florida, and through local embellishment vendors for screen printing, heat transfer, and embroidery. Supervisory Responsibilities: This role includes direct supervisory responsibilities, overseeing and guiding the performance of team members within the assigned department. Key Responsibilities Inventory Management / Demand Planning Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure product availability by style, color, and size. Forecast demand and plan to purchase based on sales trends, seasonal needs, and customer orders. Monitor inventory to prevent stockouts, excess inventory, and delays in fulfilling customer orders. Coordinate inbound shipments, inventory transfers, and regular inventory counts. Use NetSuite and reporting tools to monitor inventory, identify risks, and support timely decisions Overseas – Procurement Manage purchasing from overseas manufacturers, primarily in Asia, ensuring competitive pricing, quality, and on-time delivery. Create and manage purchase orders based on seasonal buy plans, replenishment needs, and customer demand. Track production schedules and international shipments to ensure inventory arrives when needed. Communicate proactively with overseas vendors and logistics partners to resolve delays and supply chain issues. Balance purchasing costs, lead times, and inventory needs to support business goals. Domestic Embellishment Production Management Manage relationships with local vendors specializing in screen printing, heat transfer, and embroidery. Plan and allocate production based on customer orders, ship dates, vendor capacity, and production lead times. Coordinate with the warehouse and production teams to ensure blanks are picked, shipped to vendors, embellished, and returned on schedule. Monitor production progress and proactively address delays or capacity constraints. Ensure customized products meet quality standards and strict retailer delivery deadlines, especially during peak collegiate seasons. Cross-Functional Coordination Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Design, Warehouse, and Production teams to align inventory, purchasing, and production plans. Communicate order status, potential delays, and inventory risks to the appropriate teams.
