BorgWarnerPosition Summary Provide support in quality of incoming material received from external suppliers. Standard Duties Submit lab work orders of supplied components to be measured in lab and processed in a timely manner. Utilize SAP to submit purchase requisitions & to confirm inventories. Open new sort projects and aid in creation of work instructions of sorts. Prioritize necessary sorts to support delivery of components to machining/assembly line. Perform and sustain 5S activities required for maintaining a World Class Metrology Lab Understand and adhere to current health, safety and environmental policies Understand and adhere to current quality and control policies. Use handheld gages (le. micrometers, calipers, etc.) Ownership of part gathering, RMA creation, packaging, and shipping components to suppliers All other Clerical, minimal technical, and assistant type duties. Safety, Health And Physical Requirements May require lifting in excess of 40 pounds during a scheduled shift. May require pushing or pulling of manual pallet jacks or hand carts containing full baskets of parts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and hazardous chemicals. All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays Must be able to working a non-climate-controlled environment with moderate to high noise volume occasionally Punctual attendance to work is required May require occasional work from heights. Ability to distinguish color and depth perception are required Good hand dexterity, hearing, and vision are considered essential. Ascending/descending steps; walking long distances over the course of shift Experience Education High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree preferred. SAP experience preferred, PR creation focused Strong verbal/written communication and human relation skills. Familiarity with quality standards such as IATF16949. Proficient in Microsoft office software. Machining/Assembly experience/background preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and experience. Experience using ERP statistical software packages preferred. Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues Attention to detail required. MRP functionality expertise Ability to communicate with various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner. Ability to utilize discretion and independent judgment in decision making in order to achieve departmental goals. Understand relationship between actions and their impact to the business while having a sense of urgency. Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts. Strong critical thinking/problem solving and troubleshooting skills required Perform other related duties as assigned. Pay Range $28.62-34.23 Internal Candidates Eligibility to Bid Employees with less than one year of service are only eligible to bid on higher paying labor grade positions. Employees with more than one year of service will receive first consideration. Employees in a Disciplinary Step 1 are eligible to bid on any job. Employees in Step 2 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year. Employees in Step 3 are eligible to bid on any job after 1 year. If an employee accepted a new position, they cannot bid on the same or lower paying labor grade for 1 year.
