Job Title: Supplier Quality Lead Location: Richmond, Virginia; Manassas, Virginia Starting Compensation Range: This is a sales position eligible for a base salary plus commissions with a probable income of more than $100,000. The final compensation is negotiable and subject to candidate’s experience and skills. What You Will Do: Manage quality performance of assigned suppliers Review and approve issuance of supplier corrective action requests Review and approve closure of supplier corrective action requests Lead customer quality meetings regarding supplier failures Lead supplier qualification audits and drive closure of findings Establish processes with new suppliers including customer required documentation and ship loose standards Manage and support customer audits and closure of findings Manage proactive supplier development Manage supplier recovery plans for high-risk suppliers Work in coordination with team to achieve Continuous Improvement goals and objectives Perform other related duties as assigned What We’re Looking For: Minimum five years of experience in quality engineering or related role Supervisory experience preferred Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred Certification in quality methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ) is a plus In-depth knowledge of quality assurance and control procedures, concepts, and methodologies Valid driver’s license Excellent driving record Willingness to travel up to 50% Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Excellent attention to detail Strong supervisory and leadership skills What Success Looks Like In This Role: Planning and developing standards, procedures, and best practices for ensuring product quality Handling large volumes of work in a fast-paced environment and coordinating multiple competing tasks and demands Strong organizational skills Defining problems, collecting data, establishing facts and drawing valid conclusions Interpreting an extensive variety of data relating to employment laws Engaging in effective and persuasive discussions on complex topics with top management and other firm personnel; Making presentations to company personnel Prioritizing tasks and delegating them when appropriate Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software Promoting a positive customer experience Upholding the Core Values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence and Teamwork by embracing The Carter Way Physical Requirements: Regularly required to stand; walk and talk or hear Frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus Competitive Compensation and Benefits: Health, dental and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k), $0.75 to $1.25 match up to 6% Life and disability insurance In-house training instructors/programs Tuition reimbursement Employee referral bonus program Tool allowances and tool loans Discounts on cellular phone service, computers, and vehicles Opportunities for overtime Shift differential (if applicable) You’ll gain access to real learning, real advancement, and a real future in a company that’s reshaping what it means to lead in our industry.
