Own factory processes, supplier quality, and product inspections to embed quality in an engineer-to-order environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain manufacturing workmanship standards, work instructions, and quality plans for module and skid assembly in an engineer-to-order environment. Apply lean methodology to reduce variability, eliminate waste, and improve first-pass yield across multi-week build cycles. Analyze production workflows to identify defects, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Develop and maintain process FMEAs; monitor scrap rate, first-pass yield, cost of poor quality, and on-time shipment performance, and drive corrective initiatives. Own and administer the supplier pre-qualification and scorecard process for module manufacturers, custom steel fabricators, and component suppliers. Plan and execute supplier audits, manage corrective actions, and ensure readiness for customer supplier quality assessments. Track supplier performance on quality, delivery, and non-conformance/RMA history; maintain lot traceability requirements. Perform source inspection of modules and skids at supplier/fabricator facilities and receiving inspection at the facility, including structural and cosmetic weld inspections. Verify leak and pressure testing of enclosures and corrosion protection against specifications.
