This is a highly collaborative, hands‑on role that combines supplier development, qualification, performance management, and supply chain strategy. Working closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Production, Planning, Logistics, and ERP teams, you'll build supplier resilience by identifying alternate sources, improving supplier performance, maintaining Approved Supplier Lists, and ensuring vendors are fully integrated into our systems. WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to strengthen our manufacturing supply chain.
• Develop alternate sourcing strategies for critical components, assemblies, and services.
• Coordinate supplier qualification activities, including technical assessments, capability reviews, quality documentation, and commercial readiness.
• Build and maintain long‑term supplier relationships that support production growth and supply continuity.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery, responsiveness, and overall performance.
• Lead supplier improvement initiatives to address performance gaps and reduce supply chain risk.
• Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering on corrective actions and supplier development plans.
• Track supplier KPIs and communicate performance trends to leadership.
Approved Supplier List & ERP Management
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List (ASL) and ensure supplier information remains accurate and current.
• Coordinate supplier onboarding, documentation, certifications, and compliance records.
• Ensure vendor records, part number relationships, and supplier data are properly maintained within ERP.
• Support governance of supplier qualification records and documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Engineering to validate technical capabilities and approve new manufacturing sources.
• Work with Procurement and Planning to improve supplier readiness and support production schedules.
• Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Quality, and Supplier Quality Engineering to resolve supplier‑related issues.
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives that improve supplier resilience across both Canadian and U.S. operations.
• Support the development of standardized supplier qualification processes and governance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce supply risk, improve supplier readiness, and increase sourcing flexibility.
• Assist in developing long‑term supplier strategies that support company growth.
• Promote continuous improvement throughout the supplier lifecycle.
