Position Summary The Supervisor - Surgical Procedure Materials is a member of the Cath Lab team under the direct supervision of the Materials Management Director and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing day-to-day activities of Supply Chain Operations of the assigned hospital(s). Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum (3) three years’ experience in purchasing and managing surgical supplies and maintaining equipment inventory Advanced knowledge of all surgical specialties Working knowledge of sterilization and infection control practices Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English Computer literacy and proficiency including Microsoft office suite Ability to multitask and prioritize needs to meet timelines Ability to maintain flexibility and composure in a constantly changing environment Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships within the organization Preferred Qualifications Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications Bachelor's Degree in a related field Prior leadership experience Demonstrates good math skills Physical Requirements Indicate physical requirements for performing the essential functions of the job by double-clicking and selecting ‘checked’ on the boxes below. Oversees the timing and quantities of goods ordered and stocked. Develops, improves, and manages logistics and inventory control; including but not limited to acquiring, storing, handling, purchase order receiving, inventorying, restocking, and if applicable, recalls and substitution of patient care items. Maintains Implant Log for the assigned hospital(s) and surgical departments Maintains an accurate inventory count by issuing, inventory transfers, and making decisions on when to replenish supplies. Collaborates with Purchasing and Finance on billing and cost control. Collaborate with Cath Lab Management team and Physicians to understand needs, preferences, and product performance. Establishes, maintains, and manages surgical product costs with vendors. Manages vendor relationships. Provides reports from the inventory control system for Cath Lab and Perpetual Inventories.
