Superintendent

We are a growing site-work construction company seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on projects typically located within a one-hour radius of Harrisonburg, VA . Our work includes grading/site preparation, underground utilities (water, sewer, and storm), asphalt, and concrete . We’re looking for a hands-on leader who can plan ahead, coordinate crews and resources, and keep projects safe, productive, and on schedule. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily field operations, crews, and subcontractors Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and upcoming work Coordinate material hauling and trucking , including import/export of dirt, stone, asphalt, and other materials Oversee grading, underground utility, asphalt, and concrete operations Read and understand plans, specifications, and project requirements Work closely with Project Managers to maintain schedules and budgets Coordinate inspections, deliveries, suppliers, and subcontractors Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and productivity Identify and solve field issues before they impact the project Develop and hold field personnel accountable for performance Qualifications Minimum of 5 years working as a Superintendent in site-work, excavation, heavy civil, or underground utility construction Knowledge of grading, earthwork, water, sanitary, and storm utilities Ability to read and execute construction plans and specifications Strong leadership, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills OSHA 30 Certification VDOT Intermediate Work Zone Certification High School Diploma Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Join Our Team If you're an experienced construction leader who knows how to plan the work, lead people, coordinate resources, and get the job done safely and efficiently , we'd like to hear from you.
