Subcontract Plumber, Water Softener Installs

Job Overview Archstone Water is looking for a licensed plumbing contractor to install water softener and filtration systems for homeowners in Pasadena, San Marino and Altadena. This is a 1099 subcontract role, paid per job. We handle the marketing, sales, scheduling and customer payments, and we supply all equipment and materials. You handle the permit and the install. Every job is pre-qualified, and a typical install takes about 2 hours. Duties Pull the plumbing permit for each job under your C-36 license (Archstone covers the permit fee) Pick up the system and the complete install kit from our warehouse before each job Install the Complete Home System (water softener and whole home carbon filter, Fleck 5800 SXT valves) to manufacturer specs and local code Install under-sink reverse osmosis drinking water systems when ordered Mount all systems exposed, with an air gap on the drain line and a ground jumper on copper pipes Check water pressure on every job and call us before adding a pressure reducing valve if it's over 80 PSI Program the valves, load the salt, test for leaks, and show the homeowner the basics Send before and after photos, valve settings, and a no leak confirmation before leaving the job Complete the final permit inspection Requirements Active California C-36 Plumbing Contractor license General liability insurance, with a certificate naming Archstone Water LLC as certificate holder 1+ year of water softener or water filtration installation experience Your own tools and a truck or van that can carry two tanks Valid driver's license Able to lift up to 100 lbs, kneel and work in garages and tight spaces Quick replies to texts and on time arrivals W-9 for 1099 payment Pay $700 per Complete Home System install $800 per Complete Home System with RO Paid 2 days after the customer pays.
