ABOUT THE ROLE The Studio + Fulfillment Manager oversees the daily physical operations of our Clintonville studio. You’ll fulfill orders, manage inventory, assemble products, care for the studio, prepare workshops and markets, and train and support our Market Associates. This is a working manager position: you’ll coordinate people and priorities while actively doing the packing, organizing, setup, cleaning, and customer service that keep the studio ready for business. You’ll report to the Brand + Operations Manager and directly supervise up to two Market Associates. PAY, HOURS, AND LOCATION • $20 per hour; hourly, non-exempt position • 20 hours per week to begin, with plans to expand to 30+ hours as the business grows • Daytime availability between 9 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday • Occasional evening or weekend hours for workshops, markets, and events • Primarily on-site at 3516 N High Street, Columbus, OH 43214, with occasional work at off-site events WHAT YOU’LL DO Fulfillment + Inventory • Pick, pack, label, and ship online, wholesale, and subscription orders accurately and on time. • Receive deliveries, verify quantities, and identify damaged or defective products. • Count, organize, and restock inventory, monitor low-stock items, and communicate reorder needs. • Assemble, package, and quality-check products. • Keep shipping and assembly supplies stocked and workstations organized. Studio + Customer Experience • Keep the studio clean, organized, stocked, and welcoming. • Maintain retail displays and refresh the studio window display. • Assist customers during studio shopping hours and appointments. • Handle routine questions about products, orders, shipping, returns, and damages according to established policies. • Perform routine cleaning, including floors, surfaces, the bathroom, trash, and recycling. Workshops + Markets • Prepare materials, supplies, and workstations for workshops and studio events. • Support event setup, participant needs, cleanup, and studio reset. • Maintain market calendars, deadlines, packing lists, and event information. • Prepare inventory, fixtures, signage, checkout supplies, and equipment for markets. • Coordinate market staffing and reconcile inventory and materials after events. Team + Systems • Train and supervise Market Associates on products, customer service, checkout, setup, breakdown, and inventory procedures. • Communicate assignments, priorities, deadlines, and expectations clearly. • Maintain practical checklists and documented procedures. • Identify ways to improve studio workflows and build systems that future teammates can learn. WHAT YOU’LL BRING • Strong organization, accuracy, time management, and follow-through. • The ability to notice what needs doing and complete detailed work without continuous supervision. • Clear, kind communication and confidence training and supporting others. • Good customer-service judgment, including knowing when to ask for support. • Comfort using ecommerce systems, shipping platforms, point-of-sale tools, and shared documents. Experience in fulfillment, shipping, inventory, retail, studio operations, or comparable hands-on work is strongly preferred. WORK ENVIRONMENT + PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This is an active studio role involving standing, walking, computer work, repetitive packing and assembly, cleaning, and moving inventory and supplies.
