Student Transportation Driver - 2nd Shift

Hours Needed: Wednesday through Saturday from 1:30 pm to 12:00am ET. SUMMARY The Student Transportation Operator plays an essential role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient transportation of students at Epic Flight Academy. This position is responsible for conducting scheduled transportation routes, maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness, and providing a professional and positive experience for students and staff. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, and committed to supporting the academy's daily transportation operations. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure all transportation vehicles are safe, clean, and in proper working condition. Safely transport students along designated routes while adhering to established schedules and all applicable traffic and safety regulations. Maintain punctuality and communicate any delays, vehicle concerns, or scheduling issues to the appropriate supervisor. Assist students with boarding and exiting transportation vehicles as needed, ensuring a safe and orderly process. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of all assigned transportation vehicles. Communicate professionally and courteously with students, employees, and management. Immediately report vehicle maintenance concerns, safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to management. Follow all company transportation policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines. Maintain ongoing compliance with Epic Flight Academy's Driver Safety Program, including required training, driving record standards, and safe vehicle operating practices. Assist with additional transportation-related duties as assigned by management. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Must meet and maintain all requirements of Epic Flight Academy's Driver Safety Program, including a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), completion of required driver safety training, and acknowledgment of applicable safety policies and procedures. Must possess and maintain any additional licensing, endorsements, or certifications required by applicable law for the assigned transportation vehicles. Ability to safely operate assigned transportation vehicles in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to maintain established transportation schedules. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to student safety. Previous experience in transportation, shuttle operations, or passenger services preferred but not required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to safely enter, exit, and operate transportation vehicles throughout scheduled shifts. Ability to conduct routine vehicle inspections, including walking around vehicles, bending, reaching, and checking vehicle components. Ability to lift, carry, and move moderate-weight items associated with transportation operations. Ability to remain seated for extended periods while operating transportation vehicles. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while conducting vehicle inspections and assisting students. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends, based on the academy's transportation needs. WORK ENVIRONMENT / CULTURE Frequent interaction with students, employees, management, and other members of the Epic Flight Academy community. Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments, with a significant portion of the workday spent operating transportation vehicles.
