Communicate and coordinate with bus operators, parents, and campus administrators to ensure prompt, efficient responses for disciplinary and medical alert information
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education/Certification
High School Diploma or GED
Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License with P & S Endorsements Valid Texas School Bus Driver Certificate
Acceptable Driving Record, as determined by DPS & Director of Logistics
Ability to maintain DOT Medical Examiner’s Certification
Minimum Experience
Three years experience as a certified Tomball ISD Bus Driver
Skilled in operating personal computers and software applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), 247 Security camera system, GPS system, and databases
Skilled in organizing and maintaining records, and analyzing data pertaining to student management Skilled in identifying patterns and trends, and drawing conclusions
Skilled in composing reports and correspondence
Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others Skilled in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to work varied shifts
Ability to make and enforce quick decisions under pressure and in unforeseen circumstances
Special Knowledge/Skills
Must possess a strong understanding of and demonstrated ability with student management Must be knowledgeable and able to teach effective strategies in student management
Requires the ability to read a variety of informational documentation, directions, instructions, methods, and procedures related to the job of Student Management Coordinator
Requires the ability to write reports, policies, and procedures with proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar
Requires the ability to record and deliver information to supervisors and officials; explain procedures and policies; and follow verbal and written instructions, guidelines, and objectives
Requires the ability to deal with people (i.e. staff, supervisors, general public, and officials) beyond giving and receiving instructions such as in interpreting departmental policies and procedures
Must be adaptable to performing under considerable stress when confronted with an emergency
A regular and dependable level of attendance is an essential function for this position

EQUIPMENT USAGE:
Radio and telephone communications, computer, printer, fax, copier, bus video system, fueling system, smart tag, fire extinguisher, reflectors, bus evacuation, and special needs equipment, wheelchair lift (manual & electric)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Sitting, bending, twisting, climbing stairs
Long hours on the computer
Seasonal weather environment
