Job summary Mubea is seeking a college junior for a spring semester Purchasing Co-op opportunity. The co-op will support the Purchasing organization in sourcing materials, components, equipment, and services for a global automotive manufacturing company. This position provides practical experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost analysis, contract administration, and purchasing operations. This role is well suited for a motivated, curious, and detail-oriented student seeking hands-on experience in purchasing, supply chain management, procurement, or the automotive industry. Duties and Responsibilities Work with buyers, plant personnel, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and suppliers on projects that improve cost, quality, delivery, supply continuity, and purchasing efficiency. Support purchasing activities while gaining practical experience in supplier management, cost analysis, and purchasing operations. Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, professional communication, organization, and attention to detail. Manage multiple priorities, work independently while contributing to a team, and adapt when priorities or business requirements change. Demonstrate a willingness to learn, work through problems, and make a meaningful contribution to the Purchasing team. Previous purchasing or manufacturing experience is not required.
