Structural Steel Shipper/Receiver

Shipper/Receiver/Equipment Operator Garneau Manufacturing Inc. an established Fabrication company in Morinville is currently looking for a full-time Shipper/Receiver. The position is during the dayshift, Monday to Friday with a focus on keeping our commitment to provide our customers with the quality they deserve. Employees must have their own means of transportation. Specific responsibilities include: - Update and maintain reliable inventory control logs for steel and general yard inventory - Use organization and management skills to develop proper procedures for orderly short term and long-term storage of material. - Identify incoming and outgoing materials, ensure trailers are loaded completely and correctly and that all material moved is properly tracked. - Direct material movement activities of yard personnel. - Liaise with project coordinator to make shipping and receiving documents - Be able to safely operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment. - Driving one ton truck and trailer for occasional deliveries - General maintenance of equipment - Ensure quality remains a top priority, immediately identifying and reporting any issues with material. - Be aware of shop and yard security/safety. - Maintain back-order material listings and discuss updated delivery schedules with project manager Specific requirements are: - Valid Class 5 Drivers License - Some supervisory skills - MS Office experience - Previous experience with overhead crane and forklift operation. - Proven organizational experience - Reliable, punctual, and a positive attitude Please send resume by email to careers@garweld.com Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 44.0 per week Benefits: Company events Dental care Disability insurance Employee assistance program Extended health care Life insurance On-site parking Vision care Work Location: In person
