Overview Join MassDwell’s manufacturing team and help build high-quality modular homes. In this hands-on role, you’ll support structural framing, assembly, and production operations. Whether you’re experienced in structural assembly or eager to develop your skills in a manufacturing setting, this is an exciting opportunity to join a new company and help build its operations from the ground up. What You Will Own Structural Assembly and Framing Assemble structural components for walls, floors, and roof systems using approved drawings, cut lists, and work instructions. Measure, mark, cut, position, and fasten materials accurately using the required tools and equipment. Use jigs, fixtures, and standard work to produce consistent assemblies. Check completed work for dimensions, alignment, and other requirements, and promptly flag issues. Use the factory floor software on a station tablet or computer to support material and production logistics and record work completed at each station. Complete required production records and communicate work status to the supervisor. Factory Startup and Materials Support Help prepare and organize work areas, tools, fixtures, and materials as the factory starts production. Assist with receiving, counting, labeling, organizing, and staging materials and components. Report material shortages, damage, or discrepancies to the supervisor. Support related startup and production tasks as needed while the team and processes develop. Safety, Quality, and Teamwork Follow safety procedures, wear required PPE, maintain a clean and organized work area, and use tools and equipment safely. Coordinate with adjacent stations to support smooth handoffs and consistent production flow. Complete required training and demonstrate qualification before performing assigned work independently. What You Bring Hands-on experience in framing, carpentry, panelization, modular or off-site construction, or a related production environment is preferred, but not required. Ability to read and interpret drawings, cut lists, layout marks, and other production documents. Proficiency in measuring and shop math, including fractions and calculations related to fabrication and assembly. Ability to safely and effectively use hand, power, and mechanical tools, including saws, drills, nailers, calipers, micrometers, and other fabrication equipment. Experience assembling wall, floor, or roof systems using production methods such as jigs, fixtures, and standardized work procedures is a plus. Ability to work safely, maintain a steady production pace, meet quality standards, and collaborate effectively with a team. Experience operating forklifts or machining equipment is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided if needed. Warehouse experience or familiarity with inventory management systems can enhance effectiveness in this role.
