The Role The Strategic Sourcing Specialist, Indirect Services supports assigned subcategories within the indirect services portfolio, executing sourcing activity and contributing the analysis and market insight that underpin global category strategy. The role reports to the Global Category Leader, Indirect Services and works alongside category managers, regional procurement teams, and business stakeholders. This is a hands-on execution role and a development path toward category ownership. The focus is on running well-structured sourcing events, building command of the subcategory and its supplier base, and producing analysis that stands up to scrutiny from senior stakeholders. Responsibilities Sourcing execution. Run end-to-end sourcing events for assigned subcategories, including requirement gathering, RFI/RFP/RFQ design and administration, bid evaluation, supplier shortlisting, and award recommendations. Manage sourcing calendars and keep projects moving to agreed timelines. Analysis and market insight. Conduct spend analysis, supplier market research, benchmarking, and should-cost or total cost of ownership modeling. Translate findings into clear recommendations and materials suitable for review by the Global Category Leader and business stakeholders. Subcategory strategy support. Contribute to the development and refresh of global category strategies by supplying subcategory-level intelligence on supplier capability, market dynamics, cost drivers, pricing models, and emerging alternatives. Maintain a working view of the subcategory supplier landscape. Negotiation and contracting. Lead commercial negotiations for lower-complexity agreements and renewals and support the Global Category Leader and category managers on larger negotiations through preparation, modeling, and analysis. Coordinate contracting workflow with Legal, and third-party due diligence with Security, Privacy, and Risk, tracking items through to signature. Stakeholder support. Serve as day-to-day procurement contact for stakeholders in assigned subcategories, providing guidance on process, supplier options, and requirement definition. Build understanding of stakeholder priorities and demand pipeline. Supplier and contract administration. Maintain accurate contract, supplier, and pipeline records in procurement systems. Track renewals and expiries, support supplier onboarding, and assist with performance reporting and scorecard preparation for assigned suppliers. Compliance and continuous improvement. Ensure sourcing activity follows procurement policy, approval thresholds, and documentation standards. Identify process improvements and contribute to playbooks, templates, and knowledge assets for the category team. Requirements 3–6 years of procurement, strategic sourcing, or related commercial experience, ideally including indirect categories.
