Strategic Sourcing Specialist
COSMAX USA CORPORATIONJob Summary The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for supporting strategic sourcing activities for Raw Materials and Packaging, including supplier sourcing, cost analysis, vendor management, and sourcing strategy development. This role partners closely with Purchasing and cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, strengthen supplier performance, reduce supply risk, and support the company’s purchasing and business objectives. Responsibilities Lead RFQ/RFP activities and identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for raw materials and packaging components. Conduct competitive bidding, pricing analysis, cost benchmarking, and spend analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities. Support supplier negotiations related to pricing, payment terms, lead times, capacity, and other commercial terms. Monitor supplier performance through scorecards and work with internal teams to address quality, delivery, pricing, and service concerns. Conduct supplier risk assessments and support dual- and multi-source strategies to strengthen supply continuity. Analyze purchasing spend, cost trends, and key cost drivers and prepare sourcing, savings, and supplier performance reports. Support the development and execution of category sourcing strategies, including make-versus-buy and sourcing evaluations. Develop sourcing and cost plans based on projected purchasing volumes and business requirements. Collaborate with Procurement, Planning, Production, Quality, R&I, and Finance to execute sourcing initiatives and support business needs. Identify opportunities to leverage purchasing volume to improve pricing, supplier capacity, and commercial terms. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field , or equivalent relevant experience. 2–4 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or category management. Experience in manufacturing, cosmetics, FMCG, or contract manufacturing preferred. Experience with RFQs/RFPs, supplier negotiations, cost benchmarking, spend analysis, and supplier management . Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel ; experience with SAP or a similar ERP system preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and maintain strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Ability and willingness to travel occasionally to supplier locations as needed.
