Responsibilities
• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies for shipping, industrial, and packaging products.
• Identify, assess, and negotiate with suppliers to secure high-quality materials at competitive prices.
• Analyze market trends, cost factors, and supplier performance to minimize total cost of ownership.
• Work closely with operations, inventory, and finance departments to ensure sourcing aligns with business requirements.
• Oversee contracts, pricing agreements, and service-level expectations with critical suppliers.
• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to on-time delivery, product quality, and cost savings, providing regular updates to leadership.
• Reduce supply risk through supplier diversification and contingency strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes and tools.
Required Skills
• Expertise in strategic sourcing
• Strong supplier negotiation skills
• Proficiency in contract management
• Ability to perform cost analysis and optimization
• Experience with category management
• Knowledge of supply market analysis
• Manage supplier performance through KPIs
• Data analysis skills, particularly in Excel
• Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa)
• Understanding of risk management in the supply chain
