Voss RecruitmentWe have partnered with a Global Players in the Power Solutions industry. We are seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager – BESS to own global equipment procurement strategy. In this role, you will be the commercial and technical anchor for their multi-million-dollar supply chain. Key Responsibilities Category & Sourcing Strategy: Own and execute global sourcing strategies across core BESS hardware commodities, including LFP cells, packs, enclosures, liquid cooling systems, PCS, and high-voltage power electronics. Commercial Contract Negotiation: Lead the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex Master Supply Agreements (MSAs), Long-Term Agreements (LTAs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). RFx Management: Author and execute comprehensive RFI, RFP, and RFQ packages from technical scope definition through normalization, total-cost-of-ownership (TCO) evaluation, and executive award selection. Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with key domestic and international tier-1 battery manufacturers, monitoring performance, performing manufacturing audits, and hosting quarterly business reviews (QBRs). Risk & Compliance Mitigation: Track global trade compliance, raw material pricing indexes, import/export tariffs, and domestic content incentives to establish dual-sourcing pathways and eliminate critical supply bottlenecks. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, or Finance. Experience: 5+ years of strategic procurement experience , including a minimum of 2+ years specialized in BESS, solar equipment, EV batteries, or heavy power electronics . Technical Sourcing Depth: Proficient in creating should-cost market models, analyzing technical specifications, and managing global commodities across North American and Asian supplier footprints. Tools & Systems: High proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, along with experience using enterprise ERP and e-sourcing applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
