Now use that knowledge to build something of your own. Fortune Logistics is looking for an experienced transportation, logistics, supply chain or procurement professional who understands the shipper side of the transportation industry. If you've worked for a large food manufacturer, consumer-products company, industrial manufacturer, distributor, or other major shipper—and you've spent your career dealing with transportation providers, carriers, brokers, freight procurement or distribution—we want to talk with you. You know what shippers need. We know how to move the freight. Together, we can build something much bigger. Why this opportunity is different You've probably spent years working inside the transportation and supply-chain operation of a major company. You've seen: How freight is awarded How carriers and brokers are evaluated Why some providers win and others don't How transportation costs affect the business What causes service failures How procurement decisions are made How transportation relationships are built Where companies struggle to find capacity What makes a transportation provider valuable That knowledge is extremely valuable on the other side of the table. At Fortune Logistics, you'll use that experience to develop and manage customer relationships with shippers that have significant transportation needs. We're not looking for someone to simply maintain a list of accounts. We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities, develop relationships with decision-makers and build a substantial book of transportation business. The types of companies we're interested in serving Fortune is aggressively developing relationships with large shippers in freight-intensive industries, including: Food & beverage manufacturing Meat and protein Dairy and frozen foods Consumer packaged goods Industrial manufacturing Data center infrastructure Electrical equipment Power infrastructure Wind and renewable energy Industrial distribution Building materials Other high-volume FTL shippers Experience with any one of these industries can be valuable. You do not need experience in all of them. What you'll do Develop relationships with major shippers and transportation decision-makers Identify companies with significant recurring FTL transportation needs Develop new customer opportunities Build and manage a strategic sales pipeline Learn each customer's transportation network and requirements Identify opportunities where Fortune can improve service, capacity or cost Develop transportation solutions with Fortune's operations and pricing teams Quote and negotiate transportation Win new customer business Grow existing accounts Develop long-term strategic customer relationships Monitor customer needs and identify opportunities for additional freight Build a recurring book of transportation business Your existing industry knowledge is an advantage We're especially interested in candidates who have worked directly with companies such as: Tyson Foods, Smithfield Foods, JBS, Nestlé, Chobani, Wells Blue Bunny, Tillamook, Cargill, Hormel, General Mills, Kraft Heinz, Conagra, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Mondelez, Frito-Lay, US Foods, Sysco, Performance Foodservice, and other larg…
