City DashJob Summary Join our dynamic team as a Straight Truck Driver with a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a valid DOT Medical Card or just a valid DOT MED CARD! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating straight trucks to deliver freight efficiently across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to FMCSA regulations, and ability ensure smooth and secure deliveries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while contributing to our reliable logistics operations. With hours of 10am to 8pm or something like that , and possibly go out of town for deliveries and spend the night out. Duties Safely operate straight trucks following all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo when applicable. Transport automobile parts, freight across designated routes while maintaining safety standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety protocols. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Able to stay out all night when a delivery uses up your HOS and you cant drive anymore to come back. Experience Valid Class B CDL with a current DOT Medical Card or just a Valid DOT Medical Card; experience with commercial truck driving of 1 year is REQUIRED!. Proven experience in delivery driving, route driving, or freight transportation involving flatbed, tanker, or refrigerated trailers. Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) compliance standards. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures. Ability to navigate using GPS systems efficiently on over-the-road routes while maintaining a focus on safety and timeliness. Able to stay out in a hotel if needed to take a run out of town and run out of HOS This role is perfect for motivated drivers eager to take on challenging routes while ensuring the highest standards of safety and service!
