Job Summary The Storeroom Coordinator is responsible for managing day-to-day plant and parts room inventory operations to support the plant's production goals. This role focuses on maintaining accurate stock records using SAP software, receiving inbound parts and freight, and auditing inventory to ensure smooth plant maintenance operations. This role ensures the storeroom is safe, clean, organized, and adequately stocked with necessary spare parts and components. Essential Duties & Responsibilities SAP Data Management & Inventory Control Procurement Input: Create purchasing requisitions in SAP based on plant needs and material requests. Automated Ordering: Order required stock, spares, and components through the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. Data Lifecycle: Submit formal requests for new SAP part creations and part number setups. Stock Tracking: Execute location-to-location inventory transfers within SAP to keep tracking records precise. Routine Audits: Conduct structured daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventory counts. Compliance: Verify that all parts physically removed from the storeroom are accurately checked out of SAP. Procurement & Vendor Relations Sourcing: Partner with vendor networks to secure competitive pricing quotes for parts and services. Purchase Coordination: Submit compiled vendor quotes and SAP requisitions to the Purchaser for Purchase Order (PO) issuance. Receiving, Stocking, & Floor Operations Inbound Verification: Cross-reference physical delivery items against Good Receipts (GR) to guarantee order accuracy. Inventory Placement: Assign, label, and map specific bin locations to corresponding parts within SAP. Material Handling: Stock and put away incoming parts into designated bins, lifting and maneuvering packages weighing up to 49 lbs. Housekeeping: Maintain total ownership of cleaning, organizing, and securing a clutter-free storeroom environment. Specialized Inventory & Vending Programs Vending Assets: Manage, restock, and troubleshoot all automated Fastenal machines on-site. Consumables Control: Track, monitor, and conduct comprehensive inventory audits for all plant manufacturing consumables. Program Oversight: Supervise the specialized maintenance crib program to ensure tools and parts are highly accessible. General Support Operational Agility: Execute any other duties, tasks, or special projects as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Manager. All other duties as assigned. Safe Quality Food Responsibilities Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods. Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
