Food Services Inc of GainesvilleStoreroom Clerk – Military Dining Facility Food Services Inc. of Gainesville (FSIG) Location: Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (Fort Dix), New Jersey Pay: $22.61 per hour Benefits: Full Union Benefits Job Summary Food Services Inc. of Gainesville (FSIG) is seeking a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Storeroom Clerk to support food service operations at Fort Dix, New Jersey. The Storeroom Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining accurate accountability of food products, supplies, and inventory within a military dining facility. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control, food storage, warehouse operations, or military food service environments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming food deliveries, supplies, and equipment for accuracy, quality, and condition. Verify deliveries against invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents. Maintain accurate inventory records and track incoming and outgoing products. Properly store refrigerated, frozen, and dry goods in accordance with food safety requirements. Monitor storage temperatures and ensure compliance with established food safety and sanitation standards. Rotate inventory using First In, First Out (FIFO) procedures and applicable expiration-date controls. Issue food products and supplies to kitchen personnel while maintaining proper accountability. Conduct routine physical inventories and assist with inventory reconciliation. Identify and report shortages, damaged products, discrepancies, and expired inventory. Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary storerooms, refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas. Assist with inventory reporting, documentation, and recordkeeping. Coordinate with management regarding inventory requirements, product availability, and supply needs. Follow all applicable military installation policies, company procedures, and food safety regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in food service inventory, warehouse operations, receiving, or storeroom management preferred. Experience working in a military dining facility is a plus. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems. Ability to accurately maintain records and perform basic mathematical calculations. Knowledge of proper food storage, inventory rotation, and sanitation practices. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with management and kitchen personnel. Ability to lift, carry, and move food products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in refrigerated and freezer storage environments. Must meet applicable requirements for access to a military installation. Compensation and Benefits Hourly Pay: $22.61 Full Union Benefits provided in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
