This position supports daily hospital operations by ensuring that supplies, equipment, and materials are received accurately, stored appropriately, and available to departments in a timely manner. The position maintains an organized and safe warehouse environment while following established inventory control, safety, security, and infection prevention practices. Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Receiving and Inventory Management Receive deliveries of supplies, equipment, materials, and other goods. Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quantity, damage, and appropriate documentation. Verify received items against purchase orders, packing slips, or other applicable records. Enter or document received items in inventory management systems or established tracking methods. Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with routine inventory reconciliation. Identify and report shortages, damaged goods, discrepancies, or backordered items. Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to appropriate staff. Rotate stock and monitor expiration dates when applicable. Maintain appropriate par levels for frequently used supplies. Storage and Organization Store supplies and materials in designated locations in an organized and accessible manner. Maintain appropriate separation and storage of supplies based on type, use, safety requirements, and facility procedures. Ensure supplies are stored off the floor and in accordance with applicable safety and infection prevention requirements. Maintain clean, orderly, and secure warehouse and storage areas. Label and identify inventory locations as needed. Assist with reorganizing storage areas to improve efficiency and accessibility. Properly handle and store equipment and materials to prevent damage. Distribution and Internal Delivery Pull and prepare supply orders for departments throughout the facility. Deliver supplies, equipment, and materials to designated departments and locations. Assist departments with routine supply requests and communicate anticipated delays or shortages. Maintain documentation of supply distribution when required.
