Store Manager / Beer Buyer
Vintage Wine & SpiritsOverview We’re looking for a handson Store Manager/Beer Buyer to lead daily operations and help make our store a go to beer destination in the area. This role combines team leadership, customer service, and beer buying with regular tastings and engaging social media. What You’ll Do Manage daily store operations, employee scheduling, training, and customer service. Build a standout beer selection featuring customer favorites, local breweries, seasonal offerings, and exciting new releases. Manage beer ordering, pricing, inventory, and freshness while meeting sales and margin goals. Build strong relationships with breweries, distributors, and customers. Plan and promote regular tastings and brewery events; coordinate wine and spirits tastings with vendors. Keep social media active, with an emphasis on Instagram and Facebook Stories highlighting new arrivals, staff picks, and upcoming events. Keep shelves and coolers stocked, organized, accurately priced, and visually appealing. Train staff to make confident product recommendations and deliver a welcoming shopping experience. Monitor sales, control inventory loss, and communicate opportunities and concerns to ownership. Enforce age verification and responsible alcohol sales; resolve customer and operational issues promptly. What We’re Looking For Retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in beverage retail. Strong beer knowledge and enthusiasm for discovering and sharing great products. Buying, inventory management, or distributor experience preferred. Strong leadership, organization, and customer-service skills. Confidence creating social media Stories, photos, and short videos. A dependable, hands-on approach and availability for evenings, weekends, and scheduled events.
