Store Manager

Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success. Responsibilities Lead and supervise the retail team, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating staff performance to ensure a high-performing workforce. Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, and inventory control. Manage inventory levels through purchasing, stock replenishment, merchandising, and stock organization to maximize sales opportunities. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards. Conduct employee orientation sessions and ongoing training to enhance team skills in customer service, product knowledge, and operational procedures. Monitor store financials such as budgeting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and sales reporting to ensure operational efficiency. Implement effective merchandising techniques and pricing strategies to attract customers and promote products. Foster a positive team environment through strong managerial communication, conflict resolution, and leadership in shift management. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and legal requirements related to retail operations. Utilize POS systems efficiently for transactions, returns, and inventory tracking while maintaining accuracy in cash handling. Experience Proven management experience in a retail environment with supervisory or assistant manager roles preferred. Demonstrated success in retail sales management with a focus on achieving sales goals and managing a retail sales team. Strong background in inventory management, purchasing, merchandising, and operational oversight within the retail or grocery industry. Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and manage managerial communication across teams. Experience with POS systems, cash handling procedures, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and basic math skills essential for daily operations. Multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively. Prior experience in recruiting new employees through interviewing processes is highly desirable. Knowledge of retail industry standards including pricing strategies, stock control, customer service excellence, and sales techniques.
