About Suit Store Group For more than 50 years, Suit Store Group has helped customers look and feel their best. Our men's formalwear stores are known for personal attention, experienced styling advice, and dependable tailoring. We take pride in getting the details right and caring for people long after the sale. Your Role: Store Manager You set the standard for your store. You'll lead the sales team, assistant managers, tailors, and support staff while staying close to customers and the daily business. Your job is to make sure people feel welcome, promises are kept, and the store runs well every day. You'll coach your team, own store results, and step in wherever your leadership is needed. What You’ll Do Customer Experience & Sales Leadership Show your team what great service looks like by spending time with customers on the sales floor. Make sure every customer receives a warm welcome, honest advice, and help finding the right fit. Set clear sales goals, review results, and work with the team on ways to improve. Keep the 'up system' running fairly so customers receive prompt help and associates share sales opportunities. Stay involved with fittings and alterations to make sure the finished product meets our standards. Listen to customer concerns, take ownership, and follow through until the issue is resolved. Pay attention to the entire customer experience, from the first visit and fitting to alterations, pickup, and follow-up. Keep every promise made to the customer. Teach associates to ask good questions, understand the occasion, and earn repeat visits through personal service. Team Development & Culture Lead assistant managers, sales associates, tailors, and support staff as one team. Hire good people, train them well, and help them grow through everyday coaching. Hold regular team meetings and one-on-one conversations to discuss goals, performance, and support needed. Build a respectful team culture where people help each other and take responsibility for their work. Plan staffing and key-holder coverage, handle employee concerns fairly, and involve corporate leadership when needed. Operations & Inventory Management Run the day-to-day business, including schedules, payroll preparation, opening and closing, and cash handling. Make sure the store is ready each day. Check staffing, customer flow, fitting deadlines, pickup orders, and outstanding issues. Address problems instead of passing them along. Keep merchandise available and inventory records accurate through proper receiving, restocking, and organization. Keep the store clean, organized, and well presented, including displays and seasonal promotions. Protect store merchandise and equipment by following loss prevention and security procedures. Oversee inventory counts, transfers, markdowns, returns, damages, and replenishment. Stay on top of the tailor shop, including fitting schedules, supplies, alterations, and promised pickup dates. Watch payroll and controllable expenses, confirm cash reconciliation, and check POS pricing accuracy. Leadership & Business Strategy Review sales reports and store KPIs, then turn the numbers into practical next steps. Keep corporate leadership informed about results, staffing, customer feedback, and issues needing support. Help the store stay connected to its community through local events and relationships. Follow company policies and all applicable safety and legal requirements. Tell the buying team what customers are asking for, what's selling, and what's sitting too long. Share what you're seeing in the local market. Follow mall requirements where applicable, keep emergency procedures current, and complete required reports and assignments. Who You Are You bring at least three years of retail management experience, ideally in men's wear or specialty retail. You enjoy working with customers and care about how people are treated. You know how to lead a busy store and bring together sales, tailoring, and support teams. You stay org…
