Island Ice and Water CompanyOverview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Store Clerk to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the store. This position requires strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle transactions efficiently. Operate the cash register and manage transactions accurately. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and store policies to provide informed assistance. Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner. Collaborate with team members to ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers. Utilize basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations. Promote sales of products through effective communication and customer engagement. Experience Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred but not required. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Familiarity with cash register operations and point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus. Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management. A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
