Store Clerk

Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, providing knowledgeable recommendations and product demos when appropriate Operate cash registers smoothly using POS (Point of Sale) systems to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer management, and balancing registers at shift end Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store remains tidy, appealing, and well-stocked for customers Engage in upselling techniques to promote featured products and increase sales while maintaining a friendly approach Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions via phone etiquette or in person with professionalism and clarity Support merchandising efforts by arranging displays and ensuring product knowledge is current for effective selling Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and participating in stock counts as needed Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math concepts such as basic addition, subtraction, and making change Demonstrated cashiering skills with attention to detail in cash handling and cash drawer management Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the store team Ability to stand for extended periods, lift merchandise, and perform physical tasks related to stocking and merchandising Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering outstanding shopping experiences!
