Stockroom/Warehouse Associate

Job description Job Summary We are seeking a sharp, hardworking Warehouse/Stockroom Associate to manage inventory and keep our stockroom and sales floor running — a role that's critical to our sales team being able to help customers quickly and accurately. This isn't a role we're filling with just anyone: our sales associates rely on this person to know where things are, what's running low, and how to get product from the back to the shelf correctly and fast. The ideal candidate is physically capable of the work, quick to learn our inventory layout and product categories, and takes pride in keeping a large, varied inventory organized and easy to find. Duties * Receive, organize, and maintain a large and varied inventory across the stockroom and warehouse space, including carrying product up and down stairs and using ladders safely to access upper storage * Navigate a large, densely stocked warehouse efficiently — learning where product categories and specific items live well enough to locate them on request, including checking sizes for costumes * Manage restocking schedules and monitor stock levels on the sales floor and in the stockroom, proactively flagging items running low before they sell out * Label and shelve incoming product in the correct location so it stays easy to find for the whole team, not just for you * Rearrange and optimize stockroom and display layouts for efficient storage and easy retrieval * Create clean, visually appealing product displays that enhance the shopping experience and highlight key merchandise * Assist with day-to-day store operations and support management as needed Qualifications * Previous experience managing inventory in a large warehouse or stockroom environment preferred — but note that experience elsewhere may not fully translate, since our inventory and product categories are specialized * Familiarity with costumes, props, theatrical or novelty merchandise, or similar specialty retail products is a strong plus; willingness to learn our product catalog quickly is required * Strong attention to detail and follow-through — able to follow multi-step labeling, shelving, and restocking processes accurately and consistently * Good spatial memory and organizational thinking — able to learn and retain the layout of a large stockroom and warehouse * Strong eye for visual merchandising and product presentation * Comfortable with hands-on physical work: climbing ladders, carrying boxes, and moving up and down stairs repeatedly throughout a shift * Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation * Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working with minimal direct supervision This is a part-time, hourly position starting at $18.42/hour, with hours that could increase to full time during peak season. This is temporary seasonal work through approximately October 31 — a limited number of seasonal staff may be invited to continue after the season, at HTC's discretion; this is not guaranteed and is decided at the end of the season.
