Logan TalentStockroom / Inventory Specialist – Engineering Lab (Contract) Location: Mountain View, CA Contract: 1–3 months Schedule: Full-time, onsite Monday–Friday Start: ASAP About the Role We’re looking for a practical, hands-on Stockroom / Inventory Specialist to help organise and maintain the parts and materials supporting an engineering prototype team in Mountain View. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. The immediate priority is to create a simple, reliable system so that parts are properly received, organised, labelled, stored, tracked, and easy for engineers to find. You’ll be working directly with physical inventory - sorting parts, setting up bins and shelves, receiving deliveries, maintaining accurate stock records, and helping bring structure to the existing stockroom operation. We’re particularly interested in people who have worked in MRO, manufacturing stockrooms, parts departments, warehouse inventory, maintenance stores, or engineering inventory environments. You do not need highly specialised technology or engineering experience. What You’ll Do Organise parts, components, consumables, and materials Sort, count, categorise, and store physical inventory Set up and label bins, shelves, racks, and storage locations Create a clear and practical system for locating parts Receive incoming parts and materials Ensure deliveries are properly recorded and stored Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations Track parts as they are received, stored, and used Carry out physical inventory counts and resolve discrepancies Help improve stockroom organisation and day-to-day inventory processes Work closely with engineers to make sure the parts they need can be found quickly Keep the inventory area organised, accurate, and easy to maintain What We’re Looking For Previous experience in inventory control, stockroom operations, parts management, materials coordination, or warehouse inventory Comfortable working directly with physical parts and materials Experience with receiving, put-away, stock counts, replenishment, and inventory accuracy Experience organising bins, shelves, racks, or stock locations Familiarity with inventory systems, ERP/MRP tools, spreadsheets, or similar tracking systems Strong attention to detail and organisational skills Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of day-to-day stockroom organisation Able to work full-time onsite in Mountain View, CA Relevant Backgrounds Experience in any of the following would be particularly useful: MRO / maintenance parts Manufacturing stockrooms Parts departments Engineering or R&D stockrooms Hardware manufacturing Aerospace Automotive / EV Robotics Electronics Industrial equipment Highly specialised engineering experience is not required. About the Assignment This is a short-term project supporting an innovative technology company developing next-generation power systems. The engineering team is actively building prototypes and needs someone who can bring structure and organisation to the parts and materials supporting those builds. The objective is straightforward: create and maintain an organised stockroom and inventory operation where parts are properly received, labelled, stored, tracked, and easy to find. The assignment is expected to last approximately 1–3 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements. This position requires full-time onsite attendance in Mountain View, Monday through Friday.
