Village MarketJob Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stock Associate to join our retail team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the organization and presentation of our store’s inventory, ensuring customers have a seamless shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have retail store experience, product knowledge, and a strong focus on inventory management and manual handling tasks. Responsibilities Assist in receiving, unpacking, and stocking merchandise efficiently and accurately. Maintain organized and accessible product displays to enhance the shopping environment. Manage inventory levels through regular stock checks and updates, ensuring stock accuracy. Support the store team with manual handling tasks such as lifting, moving, and arranging products safely. Ensure that all stock areas are clean, safe, and compliant with safety standards. Collaborate with team members to fulfill stock replenishment needs promptly. Provide excellent customer service by being knowledgeable about products and assisting customers when needed. Requirements Prior retail store experience is preferred. Strong knowledge of retail store products to assist in stock management and customer inquiries. Experience in inventory management processes including stock counts and data entry. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently. Good organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical ability to lift heavy items and stand for extended periods.
