Step Deck Driver (Monday-Friday)

We are hiring CDL A Step Deck Drivers for Local/Regional routes. This position is strictly for drivers with flatbed experience who are comfortable with tarping, strapping, and load securement. If you do not have flatbed experience, this position is not a fit. Pay & Benefits: $1, 800-2,500 take home per week $1,000 hiring bonus Weekly payroll Percentage pay up to 31% of gross Weekly gross $6,000–$8,000+ Tarping pay included Detention/Layover: $150 No Force Dispatch Schedule & Home Time: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm Saturday and Sunday Home! Requirements: Minimum 2 years CDL A experience Must be able to tarp, strap, and chain in order to secure loads (when required) No SAP program drivers No Pet or Passenger Policy Must pass drug screening/Clearing House check Step Deck Experience preferred; Flatbed Experience strongly considered Equipment: 2022–2025 Freightliner Cascadia (Automatic) DD15 Engine – 455 HP Governed at 72–75 MPH Flatbed trailers with full securement gear provided Conestoga Available Freight Details: 2,500 miles per week Steel, generators machinery equipment, building materials, crated machinery, oversized freight No northern states in the winter Consistent Step Deck freight lanes Runs Regional/Local Orientation: Paid ride-along evaluation (3–4 hours) – $100 Load securement evaluation required regardless of experience, videos, or pictures START DATE: NO LATER THAN 10/15/2026 Temporary position with potential to turn permanent Run now until November! Are you comfortable hauling heavy, oversized, or irregularly shaped freight? Are you willing to participate in the Driving Evaluation in Duluth, GA? Has an SAP (Substance Abuse Professional) violation or status appeared on your FMCSA Clearinghouse record within the past five years? Do you understand that this is a 1099 independent contractor position and does not include company-provided benefits? Do you understand and agree to remain communicative with Dispatch on a daily basis whenever you are not driving? Do you meet the company’s insurance requirements for this position, including a minimum age of 24 and a maximum age of 55? Do you understand that the company does not currently have a pet or passenger policy in place and, therefore, pets and passengers are not permitted in the truck? Do you have previous step deck, drop deck, or flatbed driving experience? How many years of experience do you have operating a step deck or flatbed trailer? Are you experienced with load securement using straps, chains, binders, and tarps? Are you comfortable performing hands-on securement and tarping as required?
