Steel Cutter & Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in all things to do with steel. Ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Steel Cutting : Able to operate steel cutting equipment, cut steel to correct lengths and sizes according to customer order. Correctly read work orders and verify measurements, ensuring cuts are accurate and meet the standard. Keeping cutting equipment clean and properly maintained. Maintaining a clean and organized steel yard. Customer Loading: Able to assist customers with loading steel and other materials into trailers, trucks or vehicles safely and properly. Semi-Truck Loading & Unloading: Able to unload & load incoming and outgoing semi-trucks. Operate forklifts & other material handling equipment safely & efficiently. Skills Proficient in basic math for measurements and calculations. Experience operating forklifts. Able to interpret drawings & material lists for exact cutting dimensions. Knowing material identification like different grades, shapes and thicknesses of steel. Bundling, labeling and organizing finished pieces. Able to lift heavy objects, bending and standing for longs periods of time Able to adhere to OSHA standards, utilize proper PPE & manage hot work environment's safely.
