Station Manager, Air & Ocean Freight

Lead the Houston station of an international freight forwarder, combining air and ocean operations with customer development and commercial growth. The role requires a manager who understands the detail behind station performance: shipment execution, gross profit, operating costs and the customer relationships that support repeat business. You will work across operations and sales rather than manage either in isolation. Responsibilities Lead the Houston air and ocean freight operation across forwarding, customer service and warehouse activities. Set clear expectations for service delivery, productivity and team performance. Work with sales colleagues to develop customer relationships, support new business and implement awarded accounts. Review revenue, gross profit and operating costs, and identify practical improvements to station performance. Manage resource planning, team development and supplier performance, including third-party service providers. Resolve key customer escalations and maintain effective operational and compliance controls. Your experience Management experience within an international freight forwarder, with working knowledge of both air and ocean operations. Responsibility for the people, service standards and performance of a station, branch or operational department. Evidence of contributing to customer retention, account growth or new business implementation. The ability to work across operations, sales and external providers while maintaining accountability for results.
