Standby CDL Driveaway Driver

Job Overview NO FREIGHT INVOLVED The 1987 Group is seeking a dependable, flexible, and professional CDL Driveaway Driver to join our team in a standby capacity. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced driver who values consistent daily compensation and is comfortable with changing routes, destinations, and last-minute assignments. As a standby driver, you will be available Monday through Friday to assist with driveaway moves as business needs arise. Assignments may be communicated on short notice, and routes and destinations will vary based on operational demands. One of the biggest benefits of this opportunity is that you will receive a flat daily standby payment for each day you are available as agreed, even if no moves are assigned. Payment is for your availability during the agreed-upon standby period, not solely for completed moves. Days when you call off or are otherwise unavailable for the agreed standby period are not eligible for the standby payment. Requirements Valid CDL Class A or B required. At least 3 years experience as CDL required. Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required. Ability to pass all DOT pre-employment screening processes. 5 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents. Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines. Have to be at least 25 years old. This is a 1099 position. Must be able to use smartphone. Able to work in fast paced environment. Monday to Friday as needed Salary: $225/day Job Type: Contract Pay: $225.00 per day Work Location: On the road
