Stand Up Forklift Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and safety-conscious Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will operate stand-up forklifts, also known as reach trucks or lift trucks, to efficiently move, load, and unload materials within our distribution center. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation and materials handling will ensure smooth warehouse distribution processes, supporting our commitment to timely order picking and shipping & receiving operations. Monday-Friday Shift 6:00am- 2:30pm 10:00am -6:30pm Responsibilities Safely operate stand-up forklifts, Electric Pallet Jacks, to load and unload materials with precision. Manage inventory movement within the warehouse using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels accurately. Perform order picking tasks efficiently, utilizing equipment such as order picker forklifts and pickers to fulfill customer orders promptly. Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing loads according to company standards. Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs on forklifts and heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Support warehouse management by maintaining organized storage areas, adhering to OSHA safety standards, and following proper materials handling procedures. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety protocols, and enhance overall distribution efficiency. Requirements Must be Forklift Certified (Stand up) Must have a Valid US Drivers License Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures. Ability to perform basic math calculations for weight measurements and order quantities accurately. Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and equipment repair is preferred. Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for forklift operation and materials handling. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly and perform manual tasks associated with shipping & receiving duties.
