Stand Up Forklift Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Stand Up Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating stand-up forklifts and other material handling equipment to manage inventory, load and unload shipments, and support overall warehouse operations. Your expertise will ensure safe, accurate, and timely movement of goods within the distribution center, contributing to a smooth and productive workflow. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and a passion for equipment operation to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm Duties Safely operate stand-up forklifts Load and unload trucks efficiently while adhering to warehouse safety protocols and manual handling procedures. Pick, pack, and organize orders using barcode scanning technology for logistics accuracy. Manage inventory levels through accurate warehouse management system (WMS) entries and inventory management practices. Conduct routine inspections and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage. Support warehouse distribution activities by maintaining organized storage areas and ensuring materials are handled properly during manual handling tasks. Qualifications Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, clamp trucks, or Hi-Lo forklifts in a warehouse environment. Valid forklift certification with knowledge of forklift safety protocols as per OSHA standards. Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management, barcode scanning for logistics, and materials handling procedures. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling guidelines. Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and verifying shipments. Experience with shipping & receiving processes including load & unload operations. Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to follow safety standards in production environments.
