Staff Pharmacist (Full-time - Overnights, 7on-7off)

Overview Join our dynamic long term care pharmacy team as a full-time Staff Pharmacist working overnight shifts on a 7-on, 7-off schedule. Duties Dispense medications accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations Provide comprehensive patient assessments, including medication reviews and clinical evaluations Manage pharmacy operations during overnight shifts, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance with USP 797 standards for sterile compounding Counsel patients on medication use, potential side effects, and health management strategies to promote optimal adherence Oversee inventory management, including medication procurement, storage, and expiration tracking Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain high-quality service delivery and operational efficiency Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies during all patient interactions and documentation Requirements Initial review of new orders input by technicians against prescriptions Verify orders for appropriate dosage; reviewing reports on drug interactions and duplicate therapy Check final packaged product against the label Compound prescriptions as needed Consult with medical professionals on patient therapies and outcomes Supervisor pharmacy technicians and pharmacy inters as required Package and assist with shipping orders as needed Data entry of orders when necessary Assist the billing department to ensure all prescriptions are properly billed and charged Coordinate with internal departments to increase efficiency, problem solve and maintain excellent customer service Embark on a rewarding career that combines clinical excellence with operational leadership.
