Sr. Subcontracts Specialist
CTCI Americas IncJob Summary Sr. Subcontracts Specialists are expected to be experienced in their own duties and also help provide guidance to less experienced Subcontracts Specialists on their team, help quality check their peers' work, and provide other support as required by the Project Subcontracts Manager/Contracts Manager. Individual contributor. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Candidate will be assigned subcontracts / RFPs of moderate to high complexity. Ideal Candidate will be located in Houston, TX and will work in the CTCIA office. Duties/Responsibilities Subcontract Formation duties including but not limited to RFP package development, develop bidder's list, perform pre-qualification of bidders, preparation for and leading pre-bid meetings, drafting and coordinating pre and post-proposal clarifications and addenda, coordinate receipt and opening of proposals, perform commercial evaluation of proposals including tabulation of proposals and development of award recommendation, negotiation and conformation of final agreed subcontract, and perform subcontract award. Subcontract Administration duties including but not limited to leading subcontract kick-off meetings, ensuring subcontractor submittals are timely/expediting as necessary, initiating and responding to subcontractor correspondence and contractual notifications, monitoring and addressing subcontractor compliance/non-compliance, leading change management negotiations and drafting appropriate change documentation, administering back charges as necessary, leading/responding to claims as necessary, chairing periodic, i.e. weekly progress review meetings and collecting progress reports and schedule updates, commercial verification of subcontractor invoices, and leading subcontract closeout activities. Comply with all CTCIA Company Subcontracts procedures and policies Required Skills Excellent organization skills; able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and provide regular, i.e. weekly and monthly updates on progress of activities against the schedule and plan Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with project team members in other departments including e.g. engineering, construction, project controls, project management,legal, and risk management. Able to coordinate and communicate effectively with bidders and subcontractors Lead coordination efforts internally and externally, and expedite internal and external team members as necessary to meet deadlines Able to resolve subcontract or RFP issues internally and externally with little or no direction Education and Experience Associates dgree, Bachelor's Degree or comparable relevant work experience Typically requires 5-7 years of related experience.
