Purpose of Position: Provide superior customer service to both internal and external customers by exceeding their expectations and assume the responsibilities of managing assigned accounts.
Accountabilities:
- Complete all the “day to day” functions required to maintain customer’s expectations. These expectations may include order/data entry, logistical scheduling, reporting service, and various requirements particular to each account
- Coordinate communications between operations personnel and customers in order to provide timely resolutions and maintain service integrity
- Develop a working/personable (trust) relationship with all customers within the department, in order to provide better service while maintaining the interests of Tricont in the forefront
- Acquire a level of expertise on each account over time to provide solutions to any problems/questions that may arise from operations or customers
- Develop a sense of logistical planning over time to better aid in the growth and profitability of the company
- Acquire the experience thru “On the Job Training” one may need to knowledgably answer inquires from outside brokers/logistics companies
- Work closely with Tricont and other department personnel to initiate new accounts/customer base and provide increased service to pre-existing customers
- Help in any capacity required by Tricont and Del Monte to complete its overall success
- Meet with customers to maintain relationships and discuss new routes
- Work with Director and VP to prepare bids/rate for customers
- Handle new customer integration including but not limited to: uploading rates into computer system, working with operations to assign dispatcher(s), creating email distribution list for customer, etc.
- Analyze lanes by working with operations, pricing, and senior management.
Minimum Skills Required:
- High School diploma or GED, but college degree preferred
- 3-6 years customer service and transportation experience
- Ability to coordinate high volume phone skills
- Work independently and with other associates
- Knowledge of rates and tools necessary to price like
- Knowledge of Internet Truck stop, DAT – 360 and Tricont and Del Monte inter-workings
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and investigation skills/abilities
- Computer experience, preferably with Produce Pro, email, excel, etc
- Accurate typing and data entry skills, and filling/copying
- Good analytical and organizational skills.
